Kefeta - Integrated Youth Activity (IYA): A Story of Exceeding Expectations

The Kefeta – Integrated Youth Activity (IYA) is a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering youth in the SNNPR, Sidama, and Oromia regions of Ethiopia, specifically in the cities of Dilla, Hawassa, and Shashemene. The project is implemented by the Youth and Cultural Development Foundation (YCDF) and covers the reporting period from October 2021 to September 2024. The project focuses on strengthening youth groups, enhancing economic opportunities, and increasing access to youth-friendly services.

In a powerful display of solidarity, the Youth and Cultural Development Foundation (YCDF) showed its unwavering support for the international 16 Days of Activism movement against gender-based violence. The organization’s staff, spanning across its three cities, joined forces to raise awareness and promote slogans that advocate for an end to gender-based violence.

Youth and Cultural Development Foundation (YCDF) recently held its highly anticipated annual performance review meeting in Hawassa City. Over two days, on December 1 and 2, 2023, more than 60 dedicated YCDF staff members gathered to reflect on the organization’s achievements and discuss plans for the future.

IYA_kefeta project’s consortium partners YCDF and Dereja hosted its Job fairs in Hawassa at Sidama Balhderashe. The Job Affairs opened this morning in the presence of representatives YCDF Cluster manager, AMREF Representatives, and government bodies.
